| J Snorkel - Generally the most accepted snorkel
used by freedivers and freedive hunters. Simple
tube design without any valves. We firmly believe
that a snorkel should be tucked UNDER the mask strap
for best comfort and efficient
streamlining.
Examples of J
Snorkels:
Nodo - A light weight and flexible
snorkel for freediving. Smaller tube
diameter.
Air - A popular snorkel for many
of our customers, due to its flexibility, large air
intake and soft mouthpiece made of the highest
quality silicone.
Vortice - Highly flexible
snorkel with a wide diameter tube for maximum air
flow. Mouthpiece of high quality silicone for
maximum comfort of teeth and gums. Its amazing
flexibility make it ideal for diving inside caves
and narrow entrances between rocks.
Dry
Snorkels - Usually used by scuba divers, the dry
snorkel has up to two valves. These valves are used
to help prevent water entry into the snorkel, or to
help purge the water from the sorkel when flooded.
These snorkels are generally more bulky due to the
valves and are therefore less hydrodynamic. Also,
the dry snorkel is more suseptible to catching on
underwater structure, and can be noisy due to
movement caused by its bulk and inflexibility. |
